IMPORTANT NOTICE
During its 2001 Session, the Georgia General Assembly enacted legislation substantially revising Article 9 of Title
11 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated ("Revised Article 9"). This legislation became effective on July 1, 2001. One of the results of the
enactment of Revised Article 9 is that filing parties are no longer required to include the social security number/tax identification number of the debtor(s) on
Uniform Commercial Code financing statements and other filings. Therefore, in conducting searches utilizing only the social security number/tax identification
number, parties may obtain incomplete search results. Parties may want to consider conducting searches by debtor name in addition to the social security
number/tax identification number.
