Search Systems PT-61 Index

The PT-61 Index contains real time sales and tax data based on the official source of property transfer tax data in Georgia.  Before a deed, security instrument, or other writing can be recorded in the office of the Clerk of the Superior Court, a PT61 form must be completed and the real estate transfer tax paid.  The information on this form such as Sales Price and Buyer and Seller addresses, is very useful to the real estate and financial community.  By leveraging this data and cross referencing it to our Deed and Plat indexes, our users can locate and access data in new, more efficient ways.  The PT-61 Index is a valuable and convenient resource for realtors, appraisers, investors, and homeowners.

Prior to the PT-61 Index, users would have to know the buyer and seller names to locate Deeds and Plats.  Additionally, to determine sale prices, they would have to rely on a variety of potentially incomplete or inaccurate sources to determine sales prices. Now, all this information is available 24x7 in the Clerk’s Authority PT-61 Index from 2004 forward.  Regular subscribers can search the PT-61 index by name and document numbers but our Premium subscribers get extra flexibility and value by using our Address Search, Daily Search, or even our Map Search on their computer or by using our Mobile Map Search App available for mobile devices.  This allows our users to locate deeds, plats and sales prices by address by searching directly or using a Map.

The PT-61 Index contains very useful property and financial information.  Realtors can benefit from the PT-61 index by getting the most up-to-date and accurate Real Estate sales data.  They can use the data from the PT-61 Index to perform other searches such as a Lien Search to determine if the property or parties have Liens filed against them.  Homeowners can use the PT-61 index to track sales in their area to help determine their home value.  Such data is useful in determining what price to list a home for, or perhaps if they need to dispute a property tax appraisal.  Appraisers can determine comps from a system that contains official sales data and Investors can perform research vital to making smart decisions.   These are just a few examples of how this index is used.  Determine how it would work for you and feel free to drop us a line, we always appreciate hearing from our subscribers.
